Lawson Park Farm is an unrivalled mountainside location for a luxurious self-catering getaway for families, friends and special interest groups. With only very limited availability through the year, this really is an exclusive retreat!

Recently refurbished with design flair and sensitivity, the building was awarded one of 2011's prestigious Royal Institute of British Architects Awards. The interior of the house is beautifully furnished with an interesting collection of 20th Century British Craft & Design.

The generous living spaces and four en-suite bedrooms (sleeps up to 8 people) combine the traditional slate architecture of Lakeland with 21st Century comfort. The house is fully wheelchair accessible, with a disabled-access bedroom offering stunning mountain and meadow views.

The exceptional location offers opportunities for all ages and interests from water sports to scenic walks, mountain biking to bird watching. Guests may also enjoy the extensive gardens surrounding the farm, which also house our pigs, ducks and hens.

This historic hill farm (once owned by eminent Victorian John Ruskin) boasts stunning views across the Crake Valley to Coniston Fells, and yet is within a 15 minute drive of Coniston's village amenities.

Lawson Park Farm is the headquarters of Grizedale Arts, a charitable organisation that runs a unique programme of artists’ projects that aim to make art useful in society. Recognised as ‘one of the most significant arts organisations in Europe’ (the Guardian, 2011), by choosing to holiday at Lawson Park you are directly supporting our valuable work.
